Instagram: How to appear Offline (2023)
To appear offline on Instagram by hiding your activity status, follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app on your smartphone.
- Go to your Profile account page by tapping on the ‘Profile’ icon.
- Now tap on the hamburger icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select the ‘Settings’ option from the menu.
- Search for the ‘Privacy’ option from the list and tap on it.
- Tap on the ‘Activity Status’ option from the list.
- Turn off the ‘Show Activity Status’ switch on the new window.
- The green dot will disappear from your profile, and now your Instagram account will appear offline to your followers even when you are online.
Cannot disable Activity Status on Instagram
Due to some errors, if you cannot turn off the Activity status on Instagram, you can fix it by following these steps:
- Update your Smartphone software to the latest operating system version to fix the issue.
- Try updating the Instagram app from the Google Play Store for Android users or the Apple app store for iOS users to fix the issue.
