While playing Super Mario RPG, you will eventually collect something known as the Frog Coins. As the name implies, it is a form of currency, but what it doesn’t tell is how to use it. Worry not, you don’t have to hoard it for something special, as these can be used at specific shops.

So below are both the locations where you can spend them and the items that you can get in return. Also, find out various ways to farm them.

    • Seaside Town Frog Coin Emporium

The Tadpole Pond becomes accessible quite early on in the game. While Seaside Town becomes available a bit later in the game. Here is what you can get at each shop.

There are several ways through which you can earn and even farm Frog Coins

    • Find Hidden Chests: There are many treasure chests hidden across the different regions of this game. While not every one of them will reward you with these coins, plenty of them still do. Finding them is useful as you can also get other useful items from them.
    • Defeat Enemies: Throughout your playthrough, you will battle several enemies. After you defeat them, many will drop coins. So if you are looking to grind them make sure to find the ones that are tougher than the rest and once you defeat them they are sure to drop these coins.
    • Play Mini-games: There are two mini-games through which you can earn frog coins the Midas River mini-game and the Paratroopa Cliff Scale mini-game. Out of the two, the former is better as not only do you see these coins spawn but after it is over you get the option to trade your regular coins for more Frog Coins.

That sums up everything you should know about frog coins from farming to where you can use them in Super Mario RPG. If you are playing this game then you might also find our other guides useful on all tadpole song solutions and how to upgrade Mario’s powers.
