According to its official website, the retail cost price of the Flux keyboard will be around $450 USD (however previously on the Kickstarter page, its price was mentioned as $349 USD/$525 AUD). The keyboard will be available for pre-order on the official website from March 2023 with shipments to end customers starting by the end of 2023.
Flux Keyboard requires a USB-A or USB-C 2.0 port with a minimum power delivery of 5V, 1.5A. It is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS 11 or later while compatibility with Linux, Android, and iOS is currently listed as “limited”.
The keyboard measures 193 x 320 x 22 mm (L x W x H) with the passive modules attached and can be adjusted at an angle between 0 and 5 degrees. The weight of the keyboard measures 1.6 kilograms.
The seamless design of the Flux Keyboard minimizes the risk of dust and dirt entering the keyboard frame, it will therefore always be clean and free from the typical problems of traditional keyboards. The keyboard deck with maglev keys can be instantly removed to switch to a touch experience that features the various buttons shown on the IPS screen below, just like you do with a smartphone or tablet.
