1: Install Rosetta 2

If Rosetta 2 is not installed, you may encounter error 183 when installing Photoshop. Hence, to install Rosetta 2 software for an app, follow these steps:

  • First, open Finder and go to Applications > Photoshop > then open the Photoshop folder and click the Photoshop application within the folder.
  • Then hold the ‘Control’ button on your keyboard and click the ‘Get Info’ option.
  • Click the ‘Open with Rosetta’ checkbox.
  • Now try installing Photoshop again.

2: Install an Older Version of Photoshop

Some users have reported that they were able to install an older version of Photoshop without encountering error 183.
