You can make a Carved Pumpkin using the Shears and a Pumpkin placed in the Overworld. You can usually find pumpkins mostly in all the Terrain biomes around the Pumpkin patches. All you have to do is equip the Shears to carve a pumpkin.

So, here’s how to make Carved Pumpkins in Minecraft:

    • Equip the Shears tool once you find a Pumpkin patch.
    • Head close to that patch and press the right-click mouse button to carve it.
    • As you do so, you will see a face appearing on it. You can choose whichever side of the pumpkin you want the face to appear.
    • But note that once you have carved it, there is no way to remove the face.
    • Lastly, press the right-click mouse button to pick up the carved pumpkin.

Can you Find the Carved Pumpkins?

Yes, you can also find a Carved Pumpkin in Minecraft across several locations. These include the rail rooms in Woodland mansions and pillager outposts. However, you will need to remove it from the Scarecrows over there.

What to do with Carved Pumpkins in Minecraft?

There are many uses of Carved Pumpkins as mentioned earlier. Here’s the list of all the following uses of them:

    • You can wear a Carved pumpkin to spawn Iron and Snow Golems. When you do so, it protects you from all the incoming attacks of the mobs.
    • If you equip and wear a Carved Pumpkin helmet, the Enderman won’t attack you. But having said that, wearing this helmet might restrict your viewing at some point.
    • You can make a Jack-o-lantern using a Carved pumpkin for decorating purposes.
      • For that, place your Carved Pumpkin on the Crafting table in the middle slot and place a Torch below the slot.
      • Then, pick up the Jack-o-lantern pumpkin and place it as a decor item.
    • You can also use them as decor Scarecrows during the Halloween festive.
    • Lastly, using an Anvil, you can also receive the following enchantments:
      • Curse of Binding
      • Curse of Vanishing.
