Keep Trying or Restart the Game
Similar to other players, keep on trying to connect and join the lobby. As confirmed by many players, multiple tries may allow you to bypass the error. But if that doesn’t help, we suggest restarting the game. For that, exit and launch the game, again.
If the error persists, try out the next workaround to resolve this error.
Disable Crossplay
As this workaround resolved this error for many, try disabling the crossplay feature. Also, make sure that you have the Matchmaking Privacy turned to Public.
So, follow the below steps:
- Head to the Options tab and select Gameplay.
- Navigate the Crossplay option and turn it off.
- Then, save the settings to apply.
Also, set the Matchmaking Privacy setting to Public. This will allow your friends to join your game.
Use the Quickplay
Using only Quickplay is another workaround to resolve the failed to join lobby error.
- All you need to do is head to the Galactic War table before crossing the bridge.
- As you interact with it, you will find a list of all the players who activated their SOS beacons.
- You can click on any of the active players to join them for a session.
