Make Taskbar More Transparent from Registry Editor

  3. Click the address bar at the top, copy/paste this location – “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced”.
  4. Hit the ‘Enter’ key.
  5. Right-click the empty space on the right pane.
  6. Select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. new-value-reg-win-11
  7. Rename this new value as ‘UseOLEDTaskbarTransparency’.
  8. Double-click this newly created value.
  9. Under ‘Value data’, type ‘1’. value-1
  10. Click ‘Ok’.
  11. Click the address bar again and navigate to this location – “Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM”.
  12. On the right pane, find ‘ForceEffectMode’.
  13. Double-click ‘ForceEffectMode’ and change the value to ‘1’ as explained earlier.
  14. If you’re unable to find this value, simply create one and name it ‘ForceEffectMode’.
