Steps to Block Profile on Threads App
There are two different ways in which you can block the profile of a person in the Threads App; using the search option or the threads they have posted. The two different ways to block the profile are thoroughly discussed below.
Using the Search Bar Option
- Firstly, open the Threads App on your device.
- Then, click on the Search Button at the bottom.
- Now, search for the profile that you want to block.
- Then, in the profile information, click on the three dots in the top right corner.
- Now, from the options available, click on the Block option.
- Then, select from the options whether you want to block all their profiles or only the one that you have selected.
- Finally, confirm your option and click Block.
This will block the profile of the person on the Threads App. Also, if you block the person from Threads, their profile linked with the Instagram account gets blocked too, deleting the likes and comments that you both share. Another way to block someone is through the Threads they have posted.
Block Through Their Posts
To block someone from the Threads that they have posted, follow these steps:
- Firstly, on the Threads App, go to the thread that the person has posted.
- Then, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the post.
- Then, from the options, click on the Block option. Select if you want to block their other profiles too.
- Finally, confirm the options and press Block.
The profile of the person gets blocked from your Instagram and the Threads Account. When you block a person on the Threads app or Instagram, they do not get notified, but their likes and comments will be removed. Also, they will not be able to search or tag your account anywhere.
Steps To Unblock Profile On Threads

- Firstly, open the Threads App on your device.
- Then, click on your Profile option in the bottom line.
- Now, click on the Menu option on the top right of your profile.
- Then, from the options, click on the Privacy option.
- Under the privacy options, click on Blocked Profiles.
- Finally, click on the Unblock option against the profile that you want to unblock and confirm.
This will unblock the person from your account. After you have unblocked the profile the likes and comments will not get restored.
