If you have bought the new Apple Vision Pro, you must get into the habit of cleaning and handling the headset daily or weekly. Due to its various components or parts, regular cleaning might feel like a daunting task. However, regularly cleaning your $3500 Apple device will help you keep the headset in a mint condition. But is there a specific way to clean Apple Vision Pro?
Don’t worry, here’s where you can find out everything about handling and cleaning your headset. So, here’s everything you need to know.
How to Clean your Apple Vision Pro
Before we start, ensure that you have a dry, soft, and lint-free cloth. You must detach the parts of Apple Vision Pro for easier and more accessible cleaning. Also, make sure that the device is turned off. Then, place it on a stable surface like a table or desk for detaching the parts.
Thanks to Apple Support’s user guidelines, we know all the parts that require cleaning. So, here’s how to clean every part of the Apple Vision Pro:
How to Clean Cover Glass and Display Lens
You must keep the cover glass and display lens clean and smudge-free if you are looking for an optimal experience. So, here’s how to do so:
- Use a dry microfiber cloth or the Polishing cloth provided with your Apple Vision Pro. Ensure that the cloth is clean before wiping it.
- We recommend not using liquids, or chemicals like isopropyl alcohol, solvents, or other ammonia-based products. These products may damage the headset.
How to Clean the Light Seal and Light Cushion
- Detach the Light Seal and Light Cushion from the Apple Vision Pro.
- Then, wipe both the parts with a dry, soft, and lint-free cloth.
- You can also hand-wash both parts separately using a warm and unscented, dye-free dish soap.
- However, make sure to detach the Seal Cushions before the Light Seal.
- Don’t use the headset until the cushion is completely dry.
- We recommend not using any disinfectant wipes or laundry detergent to clean both parts.
How to Clean Solo Knit or Dual Loop Headband
- Similarly, you can wipe the Solo Knit Band or Dual Loop Band using a cloth.
- For washing either of the hand bands, detach them from the Vision Pro headset first.
- You can hand wash using unscented, dye-free dish soap or detergent.
- Don’t use the headset until the headband is completely dry.
In addition to the above parts, don’t forget to clean your Vision Pro’s battery. You can wipe it using a dry and soft cloth.
