Apple’s AirPods are undoubtedly one of the best truly wireless earbuds, however, there are times when they do not work as expected. One of the most common problems that everyone faces with the AirPods is that they stop emitting any sound. This is an annoying issue for sure, but this doesn’t mean that you need a replacement for the Apple earphones. If you have already checked Bluetooth on your iPhone or other Apple device and your AirPods show as connected but you are still not getting any sound from either of them, there are a few things to try to solve the issue. Check out this guide to fix AirPod not working issue below.

There are a lot of fixes for AirPods not working, follow the steps given below to rectify the issue one by one and see if this solves the problems with the earbuds:

    1. Check the Bluetooth connection: Verify that the malfunctioning earbud is correctly paired with your Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac computer). Check your device’s Bluetooth settings and ensure it’s enabled and the earphone is paired correctly.
    2. Check the battery: Make sure to verify the battery status of the AirPods and ensure they are fully charged. If the battery life is low, you will have to charge the earphones for an adequate time before using them.
    3. Cleaning the earbuds: Dirt or debris can contribute to AirPods malfunctioning. Gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth, and be sure to remove any debris from the slots or holes in the earphones.
    4. Check the AirPods hardware: If the first three steps mentioned above don’t fix the problem, there may be a hardware problem with the headphones. Contact the manufacturer’s technical support to obtain assistance and determine if the headphones need repair or replacement.

    How to Reset AirPods

Restoring the AirPods is a fairly simple operation that requires no advanced technique, just follow the steps to reset your AirPods now:

    • First, you need to put the earbuds into the charging case and open the lid to activate the reset button.
    • Next, press and hold the button on the back of the case until the light flashes white.
    • At this point it is necessary to reconnect the AirPods to the device, just keep them in the switched-on case, place them next to the iPhone or iPad, and follow the instructions shown on the display.
    • Finally, the reset process will be completed successfully if the light on the headset turns white.
