When you encounter a Rogue Wave, here are the following best ways to survive and outlast it:

Maneuver to Evade

Before getting into escaping Rogue Wave in Skull and Bones, it’s easy to spot it from a safe distance. As you navigate through the storms, try to flee away from the massive waves. Due to the random spawns of them, this can be an unreliable method. However, evading any of these waves might help save your convoy from getting submerged.

Enabling Closed Captions

More than half of your problems can be resolved if you simply listen to your crew. Your crewmates inform you as soon as they feel they detect the presence of an incoming Rogue wave. For that, ensure that you have enabled the Closed captions.

If you haven’t, follow the below steps:

  • Pause the game > Settings > Language tab > Subtitle Settings > Enable the My Ship option

Brace Yourself for Impact

When there are no chances of evading a Rogue Wave, be prepared to brace yourself for impact. Hold the Spacebar button on a keyboard or the RB button on an Xbox controller. As you brace for an impact, place your ship in a right angle or a straight line. While it’s not a guaranteed method, it might be enough to survive a Rogue wave.

Avoiding Rogue Waves

Lastly, if none of the above methods worked out for you, we recommend avoiding the Rogue Waves and taking a new route. Before sailing anywhere, we suggest checking the weather to avoid these waves.
