Palworld which is also recently dubbed as the Pokemon with Guns game boasts a wide range of resources that can be crafted from various items. One of these includes Coal which is particularly rarer to find compared to other items. While these items can be found all over the open world, they can’t always be mined at a particular location. To find and get Coal in Palworld, you must head to the right locations to grab these rare items.

Where to Find and Get Coal in Palworld
You can find Coal by heading to the north of the map in the Desert. As you head there, you can wander around the Desert to find multiple nodes of Coal. The further you head in the northern direction, the more spawns or nodes of Coal you can expect. If you head over to the extreme north reaches, you can obtain 5-6 individual nodes.
To reach there, you can use a flying or faster mount to traverse quickly. But before that, you must make sure of getting and equipping some items to mine Coal in Palworld. They are as follows:
- Craft a Tropical Outfit for resistance against extreme heat in the desert. To craft it, you need 3 Cloth and 2 Flame Organ.
- Metal Pickaxe
- Make sure that you have enough Inventory space to mine and farm Coal.
Once you have the essential items to farm Coal in Palworld, head over to the north-west of the map. As soon as you reach there, you will find large nodes of black-colored stones scattered around. Now, all you need to do is use the Metal Pickaxe to break them down. Ensure that your Pickaxe is fully repaired for quicker mining and farming.
If you wish to farm more Coal, you can drop or place Palbox near their nodes. After collecting enough Coal, you can teleport to your main base and return whenever you need more. Using this method, you can also manage your Inventory space more efficiently.
