Lethal Company is a fun multiplayer game where you go to abandoned moons to scavenge for scraps. You can enjoy this experience with random players online or with your friends. However, an issue that several players are facing is they can’t join lobbies and get stuck on the loading screen, so they need a fix. Worry not here are some tricks you can try to resolve it.

  • Run the game as Admin: Thanks to Reddit user u/da12nv for finding this solution from Steam threads. Apparently, when you run this game as admin it doesn’t give you the problem where you are stuck looking for lobbies as often. Here is what you have to do:
    1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
    2. Right-click on Lethal Company and hover over Manage.
    3. Here, choose browse local files.
    4. From your files, you can right-click on the launcher and choose to run it as admin.
      • If this works then you can right-click on it and choose properties then under Compatibility set it to run as administrator. Next, time you launch it, it gets run as admin by default.
  • Repeatedly restart the game: This is a generic but effective fix that you should try out. Simply close the game and start it again. Try joining any lobby and wait for around 15-20 seconds. If you are unable to join then restart again. You can even restart Steam and launch the game from there. Do this a few times and you should be able to join lobbies now.
  • Enable or Disable VPN: Often times VPN services can enhance or mar your in-game experience. So if you already have a VPN enabled you can try changing your location or outright disabling it to see if it improves your ability to join lobbies. Alternatively, if you don’t use a VPN then you should try one out as that could also help you.
  • Disable Anti-virus: It isn’t uncommon for Anti-viruses to cause connection interruptions in online games. You can disable your Anti-virus and try connecting to lobbies. If that works then enable it after you are done with your play session.
