While kicking off with a rocky start, Helldivers 2 has garnered quite a player base. Its release on PC and PS5 raised plenty of questions concerning mods and their usage in the game. Although it’s quite an impossible task to use mods on consoles, players wonder if it’s possible on the PC. But does Helldivers 2 support mods or have any mods for PC players? Due to the anti-cheat software, it has been annoying for some players to not be able to customize their game accordingly.

Does Helldivers 2 Support Mods
As of now, there is no word from Arrowhead Game Studio or Sony related to mod support in the game. Sadly, neither party has indicated any hints of mod support in Helldivers 2 in the future. This is mainly because of the nProtect Game Guard in the game which is an anti-cheat software. It restricts players from changing the source code or using any cheats and trainers in the game.
That said, Peter Lindgren, the Technical Director, shared some notes on a Reddit community post. He stated that the anti-cheat is simply for making it more difficult and time-consuming to develop cheats. As a final note, he added, “On an open platform like PC it’s not possible to stop cheating from ever happening”.
Until now, there are no mods for Helldivers 2 circling the community. So, it seems likely we will be able to see mods soon. But whenever that happens, we will make sure to update this guide.
