Best Baldur’s Gate 3 Mods List
- Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Fixer
- Tav’s Hair Salon
- Party Limit Begone
- Basket Full of Equipment. SFW version
- 5e Spells
Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Fixer
Starting this list with an essential mod. On its, own this mod doesn’t sound that useful, but since you are getting into mods for this game, having this can be a lifesaver. It is so good that even one of the Nexus Mods Staff has called it the de-facto Mod Fixer for BG3 that works with the Full Release.
What it does is, it makes the story recompile and lets you use other mod packs. So once you are done loading this mod you can start a new game and you will be able to use any mods that you install from the get-go.
Tav’s Hair Salon
RPG games and character customization is a duo as good as peanut butter and jelly, it is as old as time and goes hand-in-hand. Before you even start the game, you can spend an ungodly amount of time making the character look as per the perfect image for them you have in your mind. Now what if I told you this mod gives you additional hair options?
This mod offers you more than 100 different hairstyles to choose from! However, these styles are more for drow, half-elf, elf, human, and tieflings. Specifically of Body types 1 and 2.
Party Limit Begone – Best Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod
If you aren’t someone who cares much about the looks of their character and is more focused on the features a game has to offer then this mod is for you. As the name suggests, it removes the party limit and lets you play with 16 party members at the same time. So no more having others wait at the camp. If you recruit them, they are joining you on your journey.
If that wasn’t enough and impressive then this mod also increases the multiplayer limit to 8 players! So not only does this make the game easier for new players or ones having trouble with it. Rather it lets more of your friends join you in on the fun!
Basket Full of Equipment
Coming back to another mod that lets you play with how your character can look. This mod offers players, not 100, not 200, not even 400 but rather 800 new pieces of armor and equipment. Although they work better for humanlike characters.
Be it better armor, boots, gloves, or any other piece of clothing that you might need to improve. This mod is sure to have something of your liking. If that wasn’t enough, there are also texture-edited weapons that you can find here.
5e Spells
While not exactly useful for characters that play melee, this is a mod that every spellcaster will love. If you have played DnD 5e before or have followed it then you must know that there the spells can reach the 9th level. However, BG3 goes only to the 6th level. What this mod aims to do is bring 7th, 8th, and 9th levels spells to the game.
At the time of writing this guide, the developer did remove the 7th to 9th level spells as they needed to be fixed. However, not all is bad as this mod still adds new cantrips and spells for you to use. Some of its examples include Booming Blade, Primal Savagery, Word of Radiance, Zephyr Strike, Aganazzar’s Scorcher, Erupting Earth, and more.
That’s it for this list of the 5 best mods that you must use in Baldur’s Gate 3. While you are here I suggest you check out our Act 1 checklist, this will help you find the main quests and some side activities that you shouldn’t miss.
