Currently, Apple M2 Pro is one of the most powerful chips in the world. It is composed of 6 high-performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. It was released back in June 2022. So, in Apple’s Annual Developers Conference ‘WWDC’ which will happen on June 5, where Apple will announce its latest lineup, it is expected that Apple will talk about the next generation chipsets Apple M3 series. Hence, to know more about the specs details of the Apple M3 Pro, this guide will help you.
Apple M3 Pro: Will it have More Efficiency Core?
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman report the new Mac M3 chipsets are expected to be released by the end of 2023 or by the start of 2024. These chipsets might come along with the latest generation of MacBooks that will be announced at the WWDC event. Just like M1 and M2 chipsets M3 chipsets are expected to have different variants. But the most anticipated one is the M3 Pro which might 2 additional efficiency cores than M2. This means that M3 will have 6 high-performance cores and 6 efficiency cores. Moreover, Apple is expected to use the 3-nanometer fabrication process which will improve the fabrication density. This will significantly improve the power efficiency of the devices they are used for. Note that these specifications are predicted for M3 Pro chipsets these specifications might vary in other M3 chips variants.
The new 13-MacBook and MacBook Air with M3 Pro are even expected to have 12 CPU cores and 18 GPU cores with 36 GB of RAM. But the MacBooks with M3 Max are anticipated to have 14 CPU cores and 40 GPU cores. Also, M3 max Ultra might have 28 CPU cores and over 80 GPU cores. This brings the total to 108 cores making it the most powerful chipset in the world.
