After giving an update about the technical specifications of the GeForce RTX 4090 and GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards, this time Kopite7kimi reports that the changes also affected the GeForce RTX 4080. It is worth mentioning that the GPU configurations of the GeForce RTX 40 series cards have changed several times before, and in the case of the RTX 4080 model, the last time was around June.
Evidently, today we discover once again via @kopite7kimi on Twitter that NVIDIA could revise the number of CUDA cores downwards on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 compared to what we knew until then.
As per the latest information obtained by leaker kopite7kimi, the RTX 4080 should have 9728 Cuda cores and 76 SMs (Streaming Multiprocessors), which were previously speculated at 80. Regarding memory, the model should bring 16 GB of Vram GDDR6X.
