How to fix iPhone 14 Pro Bricked Issue Using the Recovery Mode?

From the Recovery mode you can fix your latest iPhone 14 Pro that is bricked due to an unexpected bug on iOS 16 update and this guide will show you how.

The iPhone 14 Pro bricked issue is related to the data transfer process that occurs when you set up your new iPhone using the Quick Start or iCloud Restore options. However, some users have reported that their iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max freezes or becomes unresponsive during or after the data transfer process. Also, the device does not respond to any buttons or touch inputs. In some cases, the screen may display a message such as “Swipe up to recover” or “Swipe up to upgrade”, but swiping does not work. Also, the device may reboot itself repeatedly or show a black screen. This issue seems to affect only some iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models, and it is not clear what triggers it. So, in this guide, we have discussed a few possible solutions to fix this issue.

How to Fix the Bricked iPhone 14 Pro Error?

While transferring data from the older iPhone to the latest iPhone 14 Pro a lot of users have faced an issue where their device stops working unexpectedly. Some users have reported that their device freezes or becomes unresponsive during or after the iCloud restore or the data transfer option. Fortunately, force restarting your iPhone or putting it on recovery mode fixes the issue, and here’s how you can do it:

  • Immediately press and release the volume down button.

If force restarting doesn’t work, the last resort to fix iPhone bricked issue is putting your device in recovery mode:

  • Firstly connect your iPhone 14 Pro to your MacBook or Windows desktop using a lightning cable.
  • Now, follow the above force restarting steps, but instead of releasing the side button when you see the Apple logo, keep holding it until you see a screen with a cable and a computer icon. This indicates your iPhone is in recovery mode.
  • Then open iTunes, and a pop-up will appear with the “There is a problem with the iPhone that requires it to be updated or restored” message.
  • Finally, the ‘Restore’ button and all your settings and content will be erased on your iPhone.
  • Hence, we recommend backing up your data before using this method.
  • Now unplug your iPhone and turn on your iPhone, and the bricking issue should be resolved.

If none of the above methods works contact Apple Support or go to the nearby Apple Store to fix the issue.
