One of the main highlights of the new macOS Monterey is Universal Control. It is a new feature that lets you to control your iPad or Mac by moving the mouse pointer from one device to another.

You can even use your iPad to move the pointer/cursor on the Mac, or use the trackpad of the Mac to control the iPad. It will also let you to drag files between devices. Apple has confirmed recently that the Universal Control function will be available “later this fall.”

Recall that, Apple has decided to delay the Universal Control feature and it will be released later this fall. This is not the first time Apple has decided to postpone a feature that it had promised to integrate into a software version. For instance, Shareplay was also delayed from the initial public versions of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. In any case, it will be available as early as next week.
