Spotify HiFi was going to release in February 2021 to offer lossless audio quality. With this feature, the streaming service was looking to compete with Qobuz, Tidal, Amazon Music, and even Deezer, which are already in this market. But years have passed and there were no new details on the HiFi. In this article, we will discuss whether Spotify Hifi will be available in the future and if so, how can one download it without any issues.
How to Download Spotify HiFi
Spotify HiFi was announced in February 2021, which is now well over a year ago. The major streaming service Spotify had plans to roll out its new high-end subscription service. The company had said Spotify HiFi would launch sometime in 2021 and give Spotify premium subscribers the option to listen to music in CD-quality lossless audio format.
They also went as far as making a commercial featuring Billy Eilish to promote the new service. Spotify also said the HiFi service would work with Spotify connect-enabled speakers and other devices.
However, the company didn’t provide any further information such as details about pricing or which markets would support the new subscription. But the Spotify HiFi service was going to be offered as a premium add-on, meaning it would cost more than the usual premium subscription charges.
It is still not known when Spotify HiFi will be available to download or when it will release. However, during the starting month of 2022, Spotify spoke about HiFi by only stating that “We know that HiFi quality audio is important to you. We feel the same, and we’re excited to deliver a Spotify HiFi experience to Premium users in the future. But we don’t have timing details to share yet.”
So, this is all you need to know about whether Spotify Hifi will be available in the future and how to download it. In the meantime, do not forget to check out our other guides on When is Spotify Wrapped 2022?, and How to Fix Spotify Now Playing Not Showing.
