1. Wet cloth

3. Soft and clean cloth

4. Toothpaste Method

The simplest method that you can try to use to repair your scratched disc is the one that involves the use of common toothpaste paste: first, therefore, get a tube of normal toothpaste – but be careful that it does not contain abrasive particles, otherwise you could risk even making the situation worse – and some gauze or clean cloths. First, gently wash the back of the scratched support under a thin stream of running water, then dry it and spread a small amount of toothpaste on it, being careful to carry out each step delicately and to cover well the area affected by the scratches.

After applying the toothpaste, let the disc rest for a few minutes, in order to give the paste time to set, then wash it again and dry it by dabbing it with a soft cloth. In case the damage reported by your disk is not too severe, the method just described should prove to be quite effective, and you should therefore be able to use the disk again within your console or your PC.
