How to Reduce Motion Sickness while Using Apple Vision Pro
Thanks to Apple Support, we do have some tips that can help minimize this condition. Motion sickness is mainly caused by head motions, visual motions, and immersing yourself in high-motion experiences or apps.
So, here are our recommended tips for reducing Motion Sickness while using the headset:
Reduce Head Motion
Your sitting posture and head motions can cause motion sickness while using the Vision Pro. To resolve that, try reducing your head and neck movement by sitting in an upright position. We also recommend not tilting or moving your head on one side. You can ask a friend or family to check up on your posture and movements.
Reduce Visual Motion
When you use the Vision Pro headset, apps or the content within an app can cause Visual Motion. Due to that, it can cause motion sickness. So, here’s how to reduce the Visual Motion:
- Enable the Reduce Motion setting on your headset.
- For that, head to Settings > Accessibility > Motion > select the Reduce Motion option.
- Reducing the level of immersion can also offer you a sense of stability. You can turn the Digital Crown button to reduce the immersion.
- Decrease the window size and the distance to the window for better results. The closer all the windows are, the lesser visual Motion you will experience.
Stop Using High Motion Experiences
There are certain apps and Apple immersive media that can induce large amounts of motion. This also includes spatial videos featuring high-motion experiences posted by various users online. These are marked by an app motion information label. If you are experiencing any symptoms of Motion Sickness, we recommend avoiding using these apps. Instead, start with apps and media that don’t have the label.
