AirPods – Waterproof or Water-Resistant?
Apple AirPods are not completely waterproof. They are water-resistant and sweat-resistant, but they cannot be used while you are in heavy rain or swimming. Water resistance is something that protects the device from a few drops or splashes of water or liquid. While waterproofing is complete protection from any type of liquid. But not all generations of Apple AirPods are water and sweat resistant. There are a few that are water-resistant and others are not.

These were the Apple AirPods that are water and sweat resistant, but they are not waterproof. Avoid using them in heavy rains or while swimming. Even after heavy workouts, immediately wipe the sweat off them with a clean and dry cloth to avoid the damage caused by the sweat. Do not use heat or compressed air to dry off the water or sweat from the AirPods, which can lead to their damage. Also, the wireless charging case and the MagSafe Charging Case of Apple AirPods Pro (1st Generation) are not water and sweat resistant.
