Zack Synder has revealed that he would very much like to direct the Gears of War movie, which is currently in pre-production by Netflix.

It looks like the Gears of War movie will happen, as Netflix has announced a new partnership with the Xbox franchise, although now a world-renowned director, Zack Synder, has stepped forward with the desire to direct the film. The actor Dave Bautista, passionate about the Gears of War saga, has always been at the forefront of convincing all parties interested in making a film. And while waiting to find out what the official cast would be, now it was the director of the forthcoming Rebel Moon movie who spoke about the film.

Guest of IGN at Gamescom 2023, Zack Snyder revealed that he would very much like to direct the Gears of War movie. The director of Man of Steel has admitted that he is a fan of the series, but it will be necessary to see what Netflix’s decisions will be on the project dedicated to the franchise.

Always Snyder also talked about Halo and how he has always been interested in the series. However, Microsoft has already produced a television series on the adventures of Master Chief, which will return for a second season.

Snyder’s is therefore only a wish that at the moment has no official confirmation: we will therefore see if the streaming giant will choose the good Zack to direct the live-action movie dedicated to the famous Xbox shooter series.

The result that Snyder will achieve with Rebel Moon, a very special sci-fi film due out on Netflix at the end of the year, will certainly do a lot. We will see if this will be enough for the director to get the direction of the film on Marcus Fenix and the company.
