Xbox Game Pass August 2023 First Half Games Revealed

Microsoft has recently unveiled the first batch of free games that will be added to the Xbox Game Pass catalog in August 2023.

Microsoft finally has the list of free games that will be added to the catalog of its Xbox Game Pass gaming on-demand service for the first half of August 2023. All Game Pass Ultimate subscribers know that every month the House of Redmond announces new titles for the subscribers. Check out the list of games below.

Like every first Tuesday of the month, Microsoft announced recently the new games arriving in the next few days in the Xbox Game Pass catalog for PC, console, and cloud. As reported on Xbox Wire, this is a really interesting first wave, which in fact includes six different games that will be downloadable for free for all subscribers to the service.

First of all, from now on the excellent Celeste is back available for free on the Xbox Game Pass catalog, an outstanding indie title not to be missed. In addition to Celeste, Limbo and Everspace 2 are certainly worthy of note, without taking anything away from Broforce Forever.

Here, just below, you will find the list of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass announced for August 2023 with release date and reference platforms:

  1. Celeste (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 1
  2. A Short Hike (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 3
  3. Broforce Forever (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 8
  4. Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 9
  5. Airborne Kingdom (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 10
  6. Everspace 2 (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) – August 15

Microsoft also unveiled the games that will be leaving the Xbox Game Pass catalog on August 15th:

  • Death Stranding (PC)
  • Edge of Eternity (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Midnight Fight Express (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Total War: Warhammer III (PC)

In the meantime, we take this opportunity to remind you that these are not the only free games that subscribers can download, as, in fact, the latest free games offered by Games With Gold have been officially available for a few days, before the service is officially closed.
