Sony Is Reportedly Hiring To Bring PlayStation Studios IP to Mobile Phones

The sales of PlayStation 5, despite the continuous problems with shipments and supplies to the various retail chains, are only increasing and now Sony seems to even intend to target a new audience that until now had not yet fully investigated: the mobile gaming market.

According to a recent leak published on the well-known ResetEra forum, Sony would be looking for new figures for the mobile market, including a “Head of Mobile” who should manage all aspects of this new management based on the porting of exclusives also on mobile phones.

Check the job description below:

Do you want to lead the development and strategy of mobile gaming and help shape the future of gaming for a world-class studio? As Head of Mobile, you will own and develop the mobile games strategy for PlayStation Studios and help build a foundation for future growth opportunities.

You will lead all aspects of the expansion of our game development from consoles and PCs to mobile & Live Services with a focus on successfully adapting PlayStation’s most popular franchises for mobile. You will be responsible for building and scaling a team of mobile leaders and will serve as the Head of this new business unit within PlayStation Studios.

In short, this internal announcement could really allow Sony and PlayStation to make a great debut in the mobile world, which for the moment is dominated by many ports of old classics and new games recreated to be played on the screen of tablets or mobile phones.

The Japanese multinational could really ride this wave thanks to its incredible amount of quality titles that would be perfect for the world of mobile gaming, if obviously adapted properly.

For now, there is still nothing official from PlayStation Studios, but if the information were true, surely many fans and enthusiasts would not wait to replay their favorite game on the screen of their smartphones.
