Resident Evil Village Developed by RE7 & RE2 Remake Team, Insider Says

Resident Evil Village, or better known to fans of the famous Capcom horror saga as Resident Evil 8, is certainly one of the most anticipated titles of 2021.

Although the title still has no release date and it is not clear whether it will debut exclusively on new generation consoles of Sony and Microsoft and PC, in the past few hours the well-known insider Dusk Golem, also known on Twitter as Aesthetic Gamer, has revealed interesting details about the game, revealing who is behind the development of Resident Evil Village.

We report his words in detail below:

The team that is working on Village is not the same team who made RE:3. RE:3 was M-Two’s first game as a studio. RE8 is worked on by a lot of the same people who made RE7 & RE:2, though Village has gotten more time in the oven than either of those games did.

RE:4 is actually trying hard to differentiate itself from RE8, this lead to one thing I was worried about months ago but they’re course correcting. I understand outwardly it may seem like, “Oh, they’re just copying assets”, but the internal concern with Capcom is the two aren’t too similar.

So, according to the recent words of the well-known insider, the highly anticipated Resident Evil Village, which has made a lot of talk about itself in recent days, especially because the entire plot of the game was leaked online, would be developed by the same team that previously took care of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the highly acclaimed remake of Resident Evil 2.

Are you satisfied with Capcom’s choice or did you prefer that the project be assigned to M-Two, the team that created the little appreciated RE3 Remake?

Waiting to find out more details on the new project of the Japanese company, we remind you that Resident Evil Village should debut on consoles and PC in 2021.
