Pokemon Emerald is so popular that it even has several fan-made games. So it comes as no surprise that there will be cheats in this game, especially considering it has been around since 2004.

Like most other games you have the standard stuff of defeating the Elite 4 and champion. Collecting a plethora of Pokemon, and more. So if all of that feels daunting here are some cheat codes to help you out.

How to Use Pokemon Emerald Cheats

Depending on whether you are playing on an actual GameBoy with your cartridge, or on an emulator using your own game ROM, there are two ways through which you can use these cheat codes.

  • Players using Cartridge: First, connect Gameshark to your Gameboy and then insert your Emerald cartridge into Gameshark. Now, enter the above codes and it should recognize them.
  • Players using Emulators: By default your GBA emulator should recognize these codes when you enter them in the Cheats section. If there isn’t any option available then you should directly be able to enter these Cheats. Otherwise, you may first have to select Gameshark for the type of cheats and then use them.
