NBA 2K24 Cross-Play, Release Date, Trailer and More Announced
2K Games and Visual Concepts officially announced NBA 2K24, the new game in the basketball sports simulation series. Out on September 8 on all major platforms, for the first time in the NBA series 2K24 will support cross-play between PS5 and Xbox Series X/S: players on these two consoles, therefore, will be able to play together.
For users on other platforms, support for the crossplay feature would not seem to be confirmed. On the cover of all editions of NBA 2K24, we will have Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest basketball players of all time who passed away in 2020.
To celebrate his return to the cover of NBA 2K, players will be able to channel the Mamba mentality in the all-new Mamba Moments mode. In this mode, it will be possible to recreate some of Kobe’s most captivating performances and progress in his journey from a young phenomenon to one of the stars of world basketball.
Additionally, NBA 2K24 will introduce ProPLAY, a revolutionary new technology that directly translates NBA footage into NBA 2K24 gameplay. ProPLAY delivers animations and movement through NBA action on the court for a generational leap in authenticity on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Further details on Mamba Moments and ProPLAY will be announced later in the summer.
NBA 2K24 will be available in three editions, the Kobe Bryant Edition, the Black Mamba Edition, which includes in-game currencies and extensive content for MyTeam and MyCareer modes, and the 25th Anniversary Edition. The latter contains the contents of the Black Mamba Edition and a 12-month subscription to the NBA League Pass.
NBA 2K24 will be released on September 8 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below.
