Mortal Kombat 1 ‘Invasions’ Single-Player Mode Leaks Out
According to reports, the information obtained from a Brazilian store that started the pre-order period, Mortal Kombat 1 will introduce a new game mode called Invasions, which seems to replace Krypt as the main game mode for those who want to spend some time on the ground.
The fans of the series think that the mode would have something to do with the battle pass, but the creator of the franchise, Ed Boon, reported that the game would not have service support models. The authors did not say anything about the “Invasions” mode – perhaps the developers will share all the details in the near future.
The image, that is posted below, suggests that in this Invasions mode, you will move your character around the scenarios as if it were a kind of board, with green dots where you will stop to start fights or other activities.
On the back of the image, you can see a general description of the fighting game, several characters, and main features, as well as a mention of the “all-new single-player” Invasions mode, in which players will travel through the “Realms of Mortal Kombat”.
For now, we still don’t have more details about this Invasions mode, but it could be the equivalent of World of Light from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or Weapon Master from Soul Calibur but with journeys through the various realms of Mortal Kombat.
Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 14th and before that, on August 18th, you will be able to play the closed beta of the title. The main innovation, in addition to the plot restart of the universe, will be the mechanics of cameo fighters, in addition to the usual hero, they will let you choose an assistant.
