While Insomniac Games continues to throw clues for a possible imminent reveal of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, one of the writers of Peter Parker’s next adventure would seem to have let slip a very important piece of information: the release window of the title. Check out the complete details below.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Release Window Leaked
The sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man had already been confirmed several times for release in 2023, but now we know that a launch could be scheduled for fall next year.
Users of the ResetEra forum have in fact discovered that Jamie Mayer, one of the screenwriters of Insomniac Games, would have published on her official website by mistake that the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would be scheduled for Fall 2023.
The screenwriter seems to have noticed the error quickly, which has now been promptly fixed on her official page with a generic 2023, but not before users took screenshots and reported what happened.
If Insomniac and PlayStation officially confirmed this indiscretion, it would mean that the Fall release window would be confirmed for the third time in a row: in fact, it was reported that the original launches of Marvel’s Spider-Man and the spin-off Miles Morales took place respectively in September and November.
Considering that the developers reiterated just recently that the 2023 launch is still confirmed, an autumn release would certainly make sense, although obviously, we cannot know for sure whether this was a mistake or a sneak peek that was leaked by mistake but real.

For the record, we point out that the screenwriter has also reported on her official website that she is also working on Marvel’s Wolverine, but no hypothetical release window has yet been revealed for the chapter dedicated to Logan. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release sometime in 2023 for the PlayStation 5.
