Helldivers 2 is an intense third-player shooter game that revolves around driving away the Terminid and Automaton alien forces. While playing with your friends or other players, you might have noticed them saluting and using various gestures. If you don’t want to feel left out, you should know how to emote in Helldivers 2. With various emotes, you can celebrate and express among your teammates in a fun way. But as not much is explained about using them, many players are a bit confused.

How to Use Emotes in Helldivers 2

You can emote by holding down the B key button on your PC via a keyboard. On PS5, you can emote by holding down the D-pad on your controller. You can use them while progressing on missions or ships. When you start, you will unlock the Casual Salute emote in Helldivers 2 by default.

How to Emote in Helldivers 2

So, here’s how to select and equip emotes:

  • Head to a ship or your ally’s ship.
  • Head over to the Armory. It is located close to a small alleyway close to the War Table.
  • Interact with the Armory and select the Character tab on the top.
  • Select the Emote option and navigate to an emote.
  • Then, equip your suitable emote.

How to Get New Emotes

You can get new emotes by heading to the Acquisition Center menu and using the Warbonds. You can either use the free Helldivers Immobilize or the premium Steeled Veterans currency for gaining emotes. For that, you must earn and spend Medals. Since these Warbonds don’t expire, you don’t have to rush to unlock them.

  • Explosive Handshake
    • 8 Medals
  • High-Five
    • 20 Medals
  • Scout Handshake
    • 35 Medals
  • Rock Paper Scissors
    • 50 Medals
