Following a spat between Epic Games Store and Apple, Fortnite was removed from the Apple Store in 2020 due to some issues. Seeing this opportunity, Microsoft collaborated with Epic to play Fortnite using Xbox Cloud Gaming on mobile devices. Thanks to this, you can play Epic’s ultimate battle royale on Android, iOS, and other devices without any issues. But do you need an Xbox Game Pass or other subscriptions for that?
Don’t worry, here’s where you can find out all the steps to play Fortnite on mobile and any devices. So, here’s everything you need to know about it.
How to Play Fortnite Using Xbox Cloud Gaming
Before we start, ensure that you have a seamless internet connection, an active Microsoft account, and a device with a browser. Luckily, you don’t need an Xbox Game Pass to use Xbox Cloud Gaming as it is free. However, check if your region supports this service as it supports only 21 countries across North America and Europe.
Once everything’s set, follow the below steps to play Fortnite through Xbox Cloud Gaming:
- Launch the browser on your mobile or other devices.
- Head to xbox.com/play and log in using your Microsoft account.
Then, search for Fortnite and launch or download it if you haven’t yet.
The best part about playing Fortnite is that you can connect a controller or keyboard and keyboard. Aside from that, you can also play all the Fortnite games including Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, Save the World, and community-made games. But sadly, Save the World is currently unavailable to play through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
