In the past few hours, the rumor has been circulating that the day one patch for Cyberpunk 2077 is more than 50GB in size. In the meantime, the developers at CD Projekt have also commented on this information.
In the coming week Cyberpunk 2077, the new work by The Witcher makers from CD Projekt, will be officially released for consoles and PC. A few players have already been able to enjoy their copy and let users of the international gaming forums participate in the installation process.
A snapshot quickly appeared showing a nearly 56GB installation. According to the user, this should be the extensive day one patch for Cyberpunk 2077, which must first be downloaded or installed before the first start.
In order not to provide any breeding ground for the resulting rumors, the developers at CD Projekt were immediately available to comment and pointed out that the 56GB installation process was by no means the same as the day one patch for Cyberpunk 2077. According to the Polish studio, this is not yet ready and will only be released in the coming days.
It is therefore obvious that we are simply dealing with the installation size of Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation 4 in this process. This would also coincide with the information that appeared before the release of the role-playing game and indicated an installation of almost 56GB.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10, 2020, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Extensive technical upgrades for the next-generation consoles of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will follow in the course of the coming year.
Korrekt. Ist kein Patch, den gibt es noch nicht.
