The new Armored Core 6 will be a real return to the past, plus a “touch” of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice which is not bad. After various rumors and job announcements from FromSoftware, the cinematic trailer has formalized the existence of the game, awaited with open arms by fans.

Now, after the first news saw the release date of the game in connection with that of the Elden Ring DLC, now there is good news thanks to the classification of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon in Korea.

According to the rating board, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon has been classified in Korea, effectively reminding fans that the FromSoftware title will be released this year. The game was given a rating of 12+ due to some violent content in it.

It is suspected that this classification could lead to the official announcement of the release date, given that at the moment we only know that the game will be released generically by the end of 2023.

You may have noticed that many upcoming titles are rated in Korea shortly before the actual reveal or release. Among these, we remember the well-known Street Fighter 6, New Tales From the Borderlands, and Ghostwire Tokyo.

Unlike other FromSoftware titles – such as Elden Ring and Dark Souls – Armored Core 6 will be an action game with third-person mechs, a new chapter in the series in 11 years of silence.

In any case, From has declared that it does not want to follow the playability of its other games, which means that Armored Core 6 will not in fact be a soulslike. Staying on the FromSoftware theme, the developer had a big night at The Game Awards 2022, as Elden Ring was crowned Game of the Year.
