How to fix Netflix HTTP Error 503

On the web, if a user who is browsing the internet is getting 503 errors, then it simply means that there is some problem with the website’s server which prevents the user to open it on his browser.

Similarly, if you are getting this 503 error while visiting the Netflix website, you might be having a network connectivity issue that is preventing your browser or device to open the Netflix service or website.

Follow the below steps to solve this issue.

    • If you are using Wifi-network at any school, hotel, or work, it could be possible that the same network is blocking the streaming video. Just try to make sure Netflix and all of its services are allowed on such networks.
    • Try to open any other website on your browser and check if you get the 503 error again. This means that there is some problem with your internet connection.
    • If you are using a mobile phone data network, try to use a different one if possible to rule out the prior issue.
    • Try to restore your internet provider’s default settings and then check if Netflix is working again.
    • Check if your device is not using any kind of Virtual Private Network (VPN) or proxy servers. If so, then turn it off immediately and connect to your internet directly with your home internet.
    • Try to reset the DNS setting on your device to acquire it automatically, in case you are using any custom DNS setting.
    • Check if you are able to connect to a hotspot if it is available nearby your place and then try to open Netflix again.
