Silent Hill and Gravity Rush creator Keiichiro Toyama shared some details about the new game of his development studio, Bokeh Game Studio. The title will be a horror action-adventure, due out in 2023.
The first game from Bokeh Game Studio, the new studio recently founded by Silent Hill creator Siren and Gravity Rush of Keiichiro Toyama, will be a horror-oriented action and adventure game, Keiichiro Toyama told IGN Japan in a recent interview.
According to Toyama, Bokeh Game Studio is working on “an action-adventure game that will appeal to fans,” which includes “battles and story elements” that you might recognize from the games he has created in the past.
“If anything, this will be more of a horror-oriented game,” Toyama said in the interview. “But we will focus on making this a broader entertainment experience, rather than a hardcore horror game.”
Also, as previously announced, it should take two to three years to fully develop the game and officially see it on the market.
“We’re just entering prototype development, and development will probably take nearly three years,” said Kazunobu Sato, co-founder and producer of Bokeh Game Studio. “So we hope to get this game into your hands in about three years from now.”
“We are developing with PC as the lead platform, but we hope to release the game on as many console platforms as possible,” concluded Toyama.
Although Toyama has been a Sony first-party developer for at least 20 years, the unreleased project will indeed be a cross-platform.
