There are many well-known insiders who agree that the release window of GTA 6 will only be in 2024 or 2025. Take-Two and Rockstar Games should get over it financially.
GTA 6 2025 release window confirmed
GTA 5 is still bringing a lot of money to Take-Two and Rockstar Games ringing, which raises the question of whether the release of GTA 6 makes sense in the coming year or two. Apparently not. After several sources indicated in the past few weeks that a release should not be expected before 2024 or 2025, another well-known insider agreed with this forecast.
In a series of tweets, the video game journalist Jason Schreier stated that he had received information from his sources that coincided with the statements of CoD leaker Tom Henderson. You can find a summary of this information here. And based on Schreier’s confirmation, it actually seems that we won’t see GTA 6 until 2024 or 2025.
“Idk [I don’t know] why everyone thinks that I said GTA VI was coming in 2023,” Schreier said on Twitter. “Everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I’ve heard.”

Both insiders have been able to build up a good reputation over the past few years, so these statements certainly carry weight. Schreier also underpinned a previous statement with regard to the location. When asked if he can confirm all of the details Henderson shared, Schreier simply pointed out that he was referring to the development cycle and map.
“I dunno I haven’t seen everything but it’s still early in development, it has an evolving/expanding map (which I also reported last year), etc,” said Schreier.

In his previous video, Henderson pointed out that GTA 6 may not be released before the end of 2025 – exclusively for the new-gen consoles and the PC. The game should be set in a modern Vice City. Take-Two and Rockstar Games will probably take their time until the new PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles are widely used.
