Should I Buy AppleCare for MacBook? Is it a Worth Purchase?

If you want to replace a damaged component of an iPhone or MacBook, it can sometimes be very expensive, especially if you contact the manufacturer. Like any other brand, Apple also offers a paid insurance service called AppleCare to those who purchase its products, which provides assistance and repair of the insured device. With this service, users can get an additional two-year warranty that can be used for any type of product, from MacBooks to iPhones or Apple Watches. In this guide, you will learn whether you should buy AppleCare for MacBook and whether it will be a worth purchase or not.

Is AppleCare Worth The Purchase for MacBook?

There are different types of protection that you will get with AppleCare, for example, you have the AppleCare Protection Plan, the AppleCare Plus. Below you can find all the information regarding the different plans:

AppleCare Protection Plan

This level of protection is for the Apple TV product only. It consists in extending the duration of the warranty which also covers any failure of the hardware components of the Apple TV. The warranty is extended to 2 years, however accidental damage is not covered.

AppleCare Plus

AppleCare Plus covers accidental damage done by the user. For example an accidental fall or an unwanted immersion. You can call for service to repair or replace the device. However, the user through this warranty will still be required to pay a small sum.

The warranty is valid for two years, during this time the user can repair the device 2 times (once per year) however each at an additional cost of $29 for the display and $99 for other damages.

In addition, for this type of warranty, the following are included: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple Monitor, iPod, and Headphones.
