Microsoft today announced a new Elite controller for the Xbox Series X/S, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core in white. Check out the complete details of this premium gaming controller below.
Xbox Announces Elite Wireless Controller Series 2
Xbox is preparing to deliver a new controller, with a new iteration of its Elite Series 2. It is called the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core in white and, in addition to maintaining all the features of the previous model, it is cheaper than the same.
Available for $129.99 on September 21, this new controller includes adjustable thumbsticks, a rubberized grip, and smaller triggers. Thanks to the Xbox Accessories app, you can change button options such as the Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller, and the battery lasts for up to 40 hours, which is no small feat.
Unlike the $179.99 Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core does not include the toggle sets and carrying case. However, they will be available for purchase separately for $59.99 as part of the Complete Component Pack, which includes not only the thumbsticks and D-pad but also the case, charging dock, and a USB-C cable.
As you can easily guess, the Core version of the controller is sold only… with the controller (as seen in the image above), without all the spare parts contained in the previous version. In this way, those who only want the controller can still equip themselves with this peripheral as a professional, saving money and taking home a very white pad.
The price difference does not change anything in the build quality of the controller, which remains the same as the previous Elite. The only difference, besides the coloring, is that the pad has white as its primary color.
The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 in white color and Complete Component Pack is available for pre-order from today in select Xbox markets worldwide, including Europe. For more details, you can refer to the official page of the controller on the Microsoft website.
