The Matrix Awakens demo in Unreal Engine 5 is already downloadable on next-gen consoles of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It seems that a Matrix tie-in game made with Unreal Engine 5 may be on the way. According to a previous leak, an image of The Matrix Awakens was found on the PlayStation Store, an unannounced Matrix experience that could be linked to the new Matrix Resurrection movie due out in cinemas on December 22, 2021. The Matrix Awakens Unreal Engine 5 Experience Pre-download Available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S
In the last week, it was reported that the news of the leak of The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience, a mysterious title for PS5 apparently linked to the new Matrix movie, is due out in the coming weeks.
Now, the experience has appeared on the PlayStation Store for PS5 and the Microsoft Store for Xbox Series X/S, kicking off the pre-load in anticipation of this week’s The Game Awards 2021. In fact, the official description reads that “The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience,” this is the name of the title, will be revealed at The Game Awards 2021 on 10 December where, among other things, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be guests.
“Get ready for a glimpse into the future of interactive storytelling and entertainment with UE5 in this free, boundary-pushing cinematic and real-time tech demo,” the description says. “Created by members of the original movie team including Lana Wachowski along with Epic Games and partners, ‘The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience’ is a wild ride into the reality-bending universe of ‘The Matrix’ that features performances by Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.”

Matrix Awakens demo is available for pre-load on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and, for now, will not arrive on PC.
