Today, the western fans of “The Legend of” series should walk through the streets with a big smile. Because the publisher NIS America has not only confirmed one or two titles for a local publication. A total of four adventures should find their way into retail by 2023 and keep you happy with new stories.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero
It starts with the role-playing game The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, which is due to appear in autumn 2022 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store & GOG). It will have a Japanese voice output with English subtitles.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero was originally released in September 2010 for the PSP in Japanese stores and gradually found its way to the PC, PS Vita, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Asia. For the first time, western gamers will experience the adventure of Lloyd Bannings, who returns to his hometown to follow in the footsteps of his late brother and join the Crossbell Police Department. However, he can be found in the Special Support Section. This unit has some strange missions to do and help people in need.
A first trailer already gives us a glimpse of the game:
The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure
The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store & GOG) will follow in 2023 and will also offer a Japanese voice output with English subtitles. This is the successor to The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, which was first published in September 2011 for the PSP in Japan and also to the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Just a few months after the events of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, Lloyd Bannings will be assigned new tasks together with the Special Support Section. In Crossbell, tensions between two neighboring political powers will continue to rise, so it is up to the heroes to bring peace back.
