Tekken 8 is among the most anticipated video games of the near future and, together with other projects, will be the protagonist of Opening Night Live, the opening event of Gamescom 2023 in Cologne. The producer of the fighting game series will also be present, who has recently found himself often in the center of the crossfire of fans. Check out all the details below.
Tekken 8 Confirmed for Gamescom 2023
Gamescom 2023 will be a new stage for Katsuhiro Harada and Tekken 8 which, together with titles of the caliber of Alan Wake 2, will be the protagonists of the Opening Night Live stage. This was announced by Katsuhiro Harada and Geoff Keighley via social networks:

On August 22, i.e. tomorrow, Tekken 8 will join the two-hour show that will kick off the Cologne video game fair.
Among the other confirmed titles, there are in fact Mortal Kombat 1, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Black Myth: Wukong, Lords of the Fallen, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Sonic Superstars, among the others.
Geoff Keighley recently called for caution regarding the announcements we can expect at Opening Night Live, but Tekken 8 still potentially has things to say.
The title will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC around April 2024. A specific release date has not yet been announced and the Cologne event could be an opportunity to get some important updates.
Among the other titles that have been prepared for Gamescom, there is also Lies of P. The souslike inspired by the story of Pinocchio has in fact recently been shown in a new trailer full of creepy creatures, viewable below.
