The development of the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake seems to have proved more troubling than expected, as an insider now says that the title will never see the light of the day. Check out the complete information below.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake Game Possibly Dumped
The remake of Knights of the Old Republic, one of the most loved Star Wars games, would in fact have encountered many problems during the production phase, disappearing from the scene for months and months. A Bloomberg report had also revealed the indefinite postponement of the remake, which had sent fans on alert.
Apparently, as per reports, this may not have been enough to save the project. A well-known industry insider recently shared a depressing prediction for the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, speculating that the long-awaited game will never come out.
It seems that Embracer Group, Disney, and Sony Interactive Entertainment were very disappointed with how work on the remake was progressing, so much so that in the end the decision was to entrust everything to Saber Interactive.
The news surfaced just as fans started speculating that the KOTOR remake could appear at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday. However, the insider and journalist, Jeff Grubb, also denied that the game could be shown during the Sony event and did so during the latest episode of his Game Mess podcast.
As depressing as these speculations are, they shouldn’t be construed as a death sentence for the KOTOR remake. Aside from the fact that Grubb was merely making a personal prediction, it’s worth remembering that not everyone shares his pessimistic stance about the future of this project. In short, as we always say in these cases, take this news with a pinch of salt for the moment.
