It’s been a while since we have had an up-close look at Rise of the Ronin, Team Ninja’s next ambitious video game due to land on PS5 next year. While waiting for official news, however, a substantial leak of information has arrived by the usual “TheSnitch”, a leaker who has stood out in recent months for having anticipated reliable information on various video games. And, in this case, the leak came complete with some screenshots, as you can see for yourself on Reddit. Check out the leaked details on Rise of the Ronin which will reportedly have a mix of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, and Dark Souls below.
Rise of the Ronin Is Reportedly a Mix of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima, & Dark Souls
According to information leaked by the famous video game insider “TheSnitch”, Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin game will be halfway between Ghost of Tsushima, Assassin’s Creed, and Dark Souls, therefore with both the historical context and the combat with white weapons decidedly at the center of the scene.
It is also anticipated that the descriptions of the objects will provide information on the lore (a feature very close to that of Dark Souls, in fact), and that there will be “numerous side-quests that are more like Ubisoft side-quest designs”. The hope, in this case, is that we are not referring to some of the “filling” side-quests that happen to come across in the endless open world of the French publisher.
The leaker also anticipates that there should be options for selecting difficulties, which would be interesting to see, compared to recent Team Ninja game releases.
It is also reported that there should be options for romances, not specified for now and that the development team is working to improve the fidelity graphics mode before launch – but we will also be able to choose the Performance modes, which will favor the frame rate as usual.
The launch of Rise of the Ronin would be expected for the first quarter of 2024, so in theory the release could not be that far off. Obviously, as is customary, we recommend treating this information as rumors, which they are until Team Ninja is the one to announce itself.
