May 4th has now passed, although a few hours ago a piece of news emerged that is sure to send Star Wars fans into raptures. After the release of the new chapter in the series, namely Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the hype towards the franchise has rekindled because a new Star Wars RTS game is rumored to be in development at “Big-Name developer”. Check out the complete information below.
New Star Wars RTS Game Is in Development – Rumor
According to reports, the journalist Andy Robinson of VGC has hinted that a new Star Wars RTS (real-time strategy) game is in production at a “Big-Namedeveloper,” and it’s not the same title that was previously confirmed to be in development at Bit Reactor.
Robinson didn’t go into great detail, but he said fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out about the game. This puts the possibility of an announcement soon on the table.
Responding to a tweet posted by Josh West regarding an Empire at War sequel, Robinson commented: “I imagine you won’t have to wait much longer for a Star Wars RTS from a big-name developer…”
It is important to note that this project Robinson refers to is not the already confirmed title to be developed by Bit Reactor, a studio made up of former XCOM producers, who partnered with Respawn Entertainment.
At the moment, we don’t know anything else about this RTS, although we hope to have an official confirmation of the project soon.
The newest title in the series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is out now for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. In the reviews from various publishing media, many have explained that it is a better game than the predecessor, more ambitious, elaborate and articulated, broader in scope, and able to take the franchise one step forward.
