While it features over 16 dyes, you can also use its smooth textured blocks in various splashes of colors. Being a pretty versatile block, you can utilize them for making different patterned or glazed blocks. But to get your hands on these blocks, you can either find them across various biomes or craft them. But as players get on with any of these methods, they are getting confused about its crafting method.

Don’t worry, check out our guide on how to make Terracotta in Minecraft. In our guide, we have explained its crafting method and where you can find these solid-colored blocks. So, here’s everything you need to know about Terracotta in this game.

You can make Terracotta by smelting clay blocks in a Furnace. Before we start, you will need the following materials or resources:

    • Clay Block – Crafted from 4 Clay Balls.
    • Furnace – Crafted from 8 Cobblestones.
    • Fuel sources – Coal or logs.

So, follow the below steps to make Terracotta in Minecraft:

    • Firstly, you must mine four Clay Balls to craft a Terracotta or Clay block. To do so, you can use a Silk Touch tool to dig up the Clay Block.
    • Alternatively, you can also search for light-gray blocks in the Shallow waters to mine them.
    • After collecting four Clay Balls, you can combine them in the Crafting Grid.
    • You will need to craft a Furnace if you haven’t already. For that, you must place 8 Cobblestones on the outer boxes of the Crafting Table grid. Note to leave the middle grid empty.
    • Then, place your crafted Furnace in a suitable location and interact with it to open its smelting menu.
    • On the top of the smelting menu, place a Clay Block. While on the bottom of the menu, place fuel sources like Coal or Logs to light the Furnace.
    • Then, wait for some time until the smelting process is complete.
    • Once completed, drag the Terracotta block into your Inventory.

    Where to Find Terracotta?

You can find plenty of Terracotta in Minecraft located around the Badlands biomes. These include red, orange, yellow, light gray, and uncolored Terracotta blocks that can yield massive amounts of Terracotta. In addition to that, you can also find uncolored Terracotta at the Mason Houses in the plains villages and in some desert village houses.

But ultimately, it all comes down to a matter of luck while finding them. So, we recommend crafting these useful resources rather than searching for them.
