Minecraft features a wide range of items to craft resources or cook delicious food items. Smoker is one of these resources that works similar to a Furnace but requires a different crafting recipe to make it. While a Blast Furnace can smelt the items twice as quickly, it cannot cook edible food items. Here’s where a Smoker can help you out for cooking delicious food items in no time. Even though it’s an upgrade of Furnace, the recipe for Smoker in Minecraft is completely different.
Don’t worry, check out our guide to find out the steps to make a Smoker in this game. So, here’s everything you should know about crafting it.
Smoker Recipe in Minecraft
You can make a Smoker using any type of Wood and a Furnace in the crafting table. If you don’t have a 3×3 crafting table, you can craft it using four wood planks of any type.
So, follow the below steps to make a Smoker in Minecraft:
- In the 3×3 crafting table, place Furnace in the middle slot of the Crafting Table.
- Place any type of Wood on all the surrounding sides of the Furnace.
- So, place one in the middle of the top row, left, right, and bottom empty slots of the crafting table.
- Finally, this will craft a Smoker that you can use to cook the food.
How to Use Smoker in Minecraft
You can use a Smoker to cook food items twice as fast as a normal Furnace as mentioned earlier. Similar to the Blast Furnace, you need to place a food item and add fuel for using a Smoker. Note that it cannot be pushed or moved by Pistons. However, you can use a Hopper to collect the cooked food. Note that you cannot cook chorus fruits in a Smoker.
You can also use a Smoker to change a villager’s profession into a Butcher. All you need to do is place a Smoker in front of an unemployed villager in the village.
