Guerrilla Games is getting ready to return to the post-apocalyptic world that sees Aloy as the protagonist with the second chapter of the series, or Horizon Forbidden West, a title officially announced in June of last year during the PlayStation 5 presentation event.
The aforementioned game is the sequel to 2017’s Horizon Zero Dawn, and according to the voice actress Ashly Burch during a recent interview with Games Radar it seems that this title will delight fans of the series.
Here are her words about the game:
“I will say that I really do think that all of the things that people loved about Zero Dawn – the gorgeous world, the immersive story, the awesome gameplay – Forbidden West is just more and better.”
“The new areas that Alloy is traveling to, the tribes that she’s meeting, and the story that unfolds… I got a primer on it all before recording for the game, where the writing team took me through the arc of the story and it was like being a kid at a campfire. I’m just so excited for it! I’m also a fan, so I’ll be in recording sessions and we’ll be recording a scene and I’m like, ‘I can’t wait to do this fight or I can’t wait to explore this area!’ So, yeah, I really think that people are going to enjoy it.”
Ashly Burch also added that production on the project is progressing well despite the global pandemic. As you already know, Horizon Forbidden West will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. We do not yet know when the aforementioned title will make its debut, but we do know that it will be released in an unspecified period of 2021 (delays permitting).
But what we know for sure thanks to some official news is that the new adventure starring Aloy will enjoy a larger map and instant rapid movements thanks to the new and powerful SSD mounted on the new generation console of Sony (no info in this sense instead for the old generation version).
