With the latest Diablo 4 Season of Construct, many new mechanics, bosses, enemies, and resources have been added to the game. One of these new items includes the Igneous Cores that can unlock the Vault of the Loom. If you don’t know already, here’s where the newest boss of D4, Uber Malphas, is located. This baddie is one of the Uber bosses in the game. For the players that wish to face him, you need to farm Igneous Core in Diablo 4 Season 3.

Don’t worry, check out our guide to get Igneous Cores in D4. So, here’s everything you need to know.

You can get the Igneous Core by farming the Herald of Malphas elites and the Son of Malpha boss. While farming the Malphas elites is an easier option, it is not a guaranteed drop. But that said, you can also summon the Son of Malpha boss for a 100% drop. However, this enemy only randomly spawns across the Vault or Ancient Tremor dungeons.

While we leave the decision between either of them to you, here’s how to summon the Malphas elites:

    • You require 3 Elemental Cores and 50 Shattered Stones to summon these elites.
    • For that, gather Igneous Obelisks across the Sanctuary.
    • Once acquired, deactivate them to get Elemental Cores.
    • You can beat the enemies around the Vault dungeons to get Shattered Stones.
    • Then, place the required items on the Voltaic Braziers to summon an elite.
    • As you defeat them, there is a chance of them dropping the Igneous Cores.

That said, farming the Son of the Malpha by defeating him is a tougher task. If defeated, it’s guaranteed to drop the Igneous Core in Diablo 4 season 3. While this boss doesn’t have a fixed spawn point, you can find him around the Nightmare Vaults ready to crush his enemies. With a random spawn, locating the Son of the Malpha boss can be difficult.

On top of that, this Uber boss can one-shot if you are battling his solo. So, make sure you farm the Son of Malpha with a team. If you can’t defeat this boss, you can always summon the Malpha elites.

Once you have farmed enough Igneous Cores, you can summon the Uber Malphas for a boss fight. For that, you need to spend 7 Igneous Cores and 250 Shattered Stones to unlock the Vault of the Loom.

That’s everything covered about how to farm the Igneous Core in Diablo 4 Season 3. If you liked and found this guide helpful, explore more Gaming-related Guides in our dedicated section right here on Technclub.
